Currier Square Under New Ownership

Inter-Cal Real Estate Corporation and Peter P. Bollinger Investment Company have announced the acquisition of Currier Square Shopping Center in Oroville, CA.  Inter-Cal is a full-service development management and leasing company that develops, owns, leases and manages commercial buildings and shopping center properties throughout Northern California.  Currier Square is a 131,000 square foot shopping center anchored by Raley’s, Marshall’s and Petco. Currier Square Shopping Center is located 65 miles north of Sacramento, California on Oro Dam Boulevard (Highway 162), in Oroville.  Local and national leasing will be handled by Mike Donnelly of Coldwell Banker Commercial and Gallelli Real Estate. 

The new ownership is solidifying Currier Square’s position as “the heart of the community with a variety of free upscale family marketing and special upcoming events.  The initial kick-off event takes place Friday, August 2nd from 4pm – 7pm and will continue each Friday night throughout the month of August.  The parking lot will be filled with fun and games during this Hoedown Event at Currier Square.  Each Friday will feature street vendors, wagon rides, merchant giveaways and prize giveaways to include entries to win Staycations and goodies from local sponsor, Feather Falls Casino and Lodge, as well as a Grand Prize giveaway that will include a FREE Hawaiian getaway for two.

Event attendees are being asked to bring a can of food to be donated to the Food Bank of Butte County to attend the event. The goal is to generate 1,000 pounds of food by September 1st. 

In addition to the Friday night Hoedown Family Events in August, Inter-Cal Real Estate and Currier Square will be hosting a Fall FEST event to be held Saturday, September 28th from  noon – 3pm as well as a Holiday Let It Snow Globe! holiday photo sharing event on December 7th with live Christmas tree giveaways and more. 

Online social media promotions for Currier Square include: local Staycations and the FREE Hawaiian getaway on both Instagram and Facebook. Customers simply sign-up and comment in order to be entered to win prizes.  The final Staycation to Feather Falls Casino and Hawaii will be announced online September 30th.

Fit Body Boot Camp Deploys to Skypark Plaza

(Chico)  Fit Body Boot Camp, one of the fitness industry's fastest growing brands has landed in Skypark Plaza in Chico.   The franchise is opening up a new studio next to Ross at 2485 Notre Dame Blvd. Suite 210.   Fit Body Boot Camp offers 30-minute fat loss boot camps with a combination of high intestity interval training and active rest training and services clients of all abilities.

Fit Body Boot Camp has more than 500 locations across the country and throughout Canada.  The Chico lease was handled by Mike Donnelly of Coldwell Banker Commercial representing the Landlord and Bryan Colombik of Catalyst Commercial representing the Tenant.

True Value Hardware Coming to Chico - New Holiday Pool Location

(Chico) True Value Hardware and Holiday Pools are coming to the rescue of north Chico residents faced with the loss of Orchard Supply Hardware.  No sooner had OSH announced it was closing its East Avenue location, when True Value Hardware and Holdiay Pools secured a a large retail location across the street in the Towne and Country Shopping Center. 

Owner/Operators Gary Powers and Leland Stockwell expect the two businesses to be up and running by March in a 10,000 square foot unit at 230 W. East Ave. just to the left of Rite Aid.  This will be a new store for True Value Hardware and a relocation for Holiday Pools, which currently operates in the Fairview Center next to Spitiri's at East and Cohasset.  The lease was handled by Mike Donnelly and Carrie Welch of Coldwell Banker Commercial Northern California Retail Division.
